The Ray – Delray Beach - Delray Beach - Scheduled to open Winter 2019, the new property will be located in the Pineapple Grove Arts District of downtown Delray Beach. The project will include 141 rooms and suites, three restaurants (one of which will be a rooftop restaurant), a rooftop pool and lounge area, fitness center, two levels of underground parking, and an elevated glass-enclosed event space for up to 300 guests.
Baker's Cay Resort, a Curio Collection by Hilton - Key Largo - This resort will open in early 2019 as the Keys’ only Curio property. The 13-acre, 200-room resort is to offer 17,000 square feet of meeting space with executive boardrooms, a grand lawn and two expansive ballrooms. Pet amenities include dog Tiki huts and cooled water bowls. A beachside tequila and taco venue is to include house-made hot sauces crafted from peppers grown on the property. Two swimming pools with a waterfall grotto, a winding nature trail lined with hidden beaches, a boat dock and salon also are on-site. Baker’s Cay Resort is located at 97000 Overseas Highway at mile marker 97 bayside.

Axel Hotel - Miami - A popular Spanish hotel company aimed at the LGBTQ community is opening a Miami Beach location—the first in the U.S. for the brand. “Everything started with a dream: to open a hotel aimed at the LGBTQ world, my world,” says Juan Juliá, Axel Hotel president. “A cosmopolitan and tolerant environment where atmosphere, diversity and respect are valued.” The first hotel opened in 2003 in Barcelona and the Miami Beach hotel will open in a 1940s-era Art Deco building on Collins Avenue. The hotel will feature 159 rooms, luxury spa, restaurant and rooftop bar.
Celino South Beach - Miami - Spanning three original Art Deco buildings on Ocean Drive, plus a brand new edition, the historic Park Central Hotel is undergoing a $110 million transformation and will debut as Celino South Beach. Exuding 1940s glamour, the original hotel was a popular hangout for throwback stars like Clark Gable and Humphry Bogart. Legend has it that the property was the birthplace of America’s first conga line. The 132-room hotel features include a rooftop glass-bottom pool, a library overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean restaurant with seafood fare and lots of fun in-room amenities like a conga line kit with how-to guides, conga drums and Cuban cigars. The Celino is a signature project of Optimum Group and managed by Highgate hospitality company.
Greystone Hotel - Miami - Located near South Beach's Collins Park and situated within walking distance to the Miami Beach Convention Center, The Greystone Hotel is a 56,000-square-foot Art Deco hotel inspired by Miami’s Golden Era. A VOS Hospitality property, this upscale, 92-room boutique hotel features a five-story tower, rooftop swimming pool and bar, 140-seat restaurant and a subterranean speakeasy lounge, all designed by Shulman + Associates. Mr. C Coconut Grove combines an Italian coastal style with Miami’s tropical aesthetic. Located in Coconut Grove, the hotel will feature 100 guestrooms and suites situated within walking distance to a bevy of restaurants and boutiques. The onsite eatery, Bellini Restaurant and Bar, is an Italian concept inspired by the founders’ travels throughout Italy. “The hotel is suspended on sculptural stilts in the tree canopy of Coconut Grove,” says Raymond Fort, Senior Associate of Arquitectonica. “This design embraces the idea of the historic Stiltsville structures in Biscayne Bay that can be seen at a distance from the rooms and public spaces of the hotel.”
Palihouse Miami Beach - Miami - Los Angeles-based Paligroup is opening its first hotel on the East Coast. The 71-room Palihouse Miami Beach will debut on the Indian Creek waterway in a completely reimagined historic Art Deco building. Most rooms will feature kitchenettes and the lobby will showcase an eclectic boho chic vibe. Guests will have access to the hotel’s beach club and boat dock, and the pool deck will feature a patio garden. The best part? The hotel is close to all the action in Miami Beach and there’s so much to do.
Selina Hotel Little Havana - Miami - Miami’s colorful Little Havana neighborhood is getting a new boutique hotel. Formerly known as the historic Tower Hotel, the property will debut as Selina Hotel Little Havana. Designed for the nomadic Millennial traveler, the Latin American hotel brand combines a boutique hotel concept with co-working and co-living spaces. This is the first location in the United States for Selina brand founders Rafi Museri and Daniel Rudasevski. Additionally, the hotel is planning a partnership with Miami-based Mad Room Hospitality, the company behind the popular Ball & Chain restaurant and bar in Little Havana.
Wyndham Grand and TRYP by Wyndham - MiamiHospitality industry giant Wyndham Hotel Group is opening a combination of the Wyndham Grand and TRYP by Wyndham brand hotels—a first for the company. The new dual-branded hotel will tower 41-stories high and feature 445 rooms (200 under Wyndham Grand and 245 under TRYP by Wyndham). The hotels will share a lobby and lounge space, pool deck and a rooftop restaurant and bar. Brand loyalists will be glad to know the property will feature their signature family-style rooms with extra space and bunk beds for kids—a favorite amenity for adults traveling with children. "With nearly 16 million visitors last year and projected increases for the years ahead, Miami continues to be one of the world's most coveted travel destinations with a style all its own," says Mark Kukulski, president of Wyndham Hotel Group's management organization. "By combining our most worldly, destination-centric brands, we're offering travelers a taste of Wyndham Hotel Group, Miami-style – with chic shared spaces, trendy dining options and their choice of brand experience via TRYP by Wyndham's lifestyle flair or Wyndham Grand's easy elegance." The property is expected to open in late 2019.
Banyan Cay Resort & Golf, A Noble House Resort - West Palm Beach - Situated on 250 acres just outside of downtown West Palm Beach, Banyan Cay Resort & Golf is set to open in late 2019. The resort centerpieces include a 150-room lifestyle hotel and 130-acre Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, a new par-72 design to feature five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels, and course yardage from 4,800 yards to 7,200 yards. Guests will also have access to a full service clubhouse, resort dining, a 5,000-square-foot signature spa and fitness center, tennis pavilion, pool, and more than 15,000 square feet of meeting facilities.
