Salt & Straw - Miami - The beloved Portland-based ice cream company, is finally opening the highly-anticipated first East Coast scoop shops in early 2021. The small-batch ice cream brand will open shops in Wynwood and Coconut Grove serving up their curiously delicious flavors as well as some Miami-inspired creations with local community partners. Wynwood will open first in January 2021 with Coconut Grove opening shortly after in February 2021. Taking inspiration from Miami, Salt & Straw’s Co-founder and Head Ice Cream Maker, Tyler Malek, will create a locally sourced menu that reflects the flavors of Miami by using local ingredients. The scoop shops will feature Salt & Straw’s all-time, cult classics and seasonal ice creams, with new flavors rotating monthly, that tell the story of Miami chefs and artisans.
Uchi - Miami - Known as one of the most popular sushi restaurants across the country, Uchi Miami will open in Wynwood in January 2021.
The Abbey - Fort Lauderdale - Part restaurant and part nightlife/entertainment venue, The Abbey will be located inside a transformed church in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Opens in early 2021.
BENTO Asian Kitchen + Sushi - Dania Beach - BENTO is a new family-owned quick-casual pan-Asian restaurant based out of Orlando and officially announced that it opened up its highly-anticipated Dania Beach location In October 2020. The 100-seat, 2,800 square-foot eatery will be located at 27 S Pointe Drive at Dania Pointe, a 102-acre premier mixed-use development with nearly 1 million square feet of retail and restaurants along with offices, hotels, luxury apartments and public event space. BENTO will be situated near Cooper’s Hawk, Bowlero and Regal Cinema.
Café Americano Ocean Drive - Miami - V&E Restaurant Group, the group of creators behind some of the most recognized restaurant brands in Miami Beach and Las Vegas, announced the highly-anticipated December opening of Café Americano Ocean Drive inside of Miami Beach’s Hotel Victor, followed by Café Americano Collins Avenue opening in January 2021 in the Redbury Miami Beach. The two new locations mark the first time the popular Las Vegas Café Americano brand has opened a restaurant in Florida. V&E’s current restaurants include Havana 1957, Mercato della Pescheria Miami Beach, Mercato della Pescheria Las Vegas, La Cerveceria de Barrio, Oh! Mexico, Marabú, Barseco, Café Americano Las Vegas, Terraza by Café Americano.
EST. 33 Thai Craft Brewery and Kitchen - Miami - EST. 33 will open its doors in Winter 2021, offering a new dining experience inspired by a harmonious blend of Eastern and Western cultures and the confluence of heritage and innovation. Located on the fourth floor of Brickell City Centre, the new restaurant features an extensive covered outdoor patio, bar and seven fermentation vessels in addition to seven serving tanks in its brewery housed in the interior of the restaurant.
Cervecería La Tropical - Miami - Miami’s newest brewery will open in the Wynwood Arts District January 2021 with a 28,000 square-foot space. Embracing the alluring and high-energy spirit of Miami by way of Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean, La Tropical will feature a state-of-the-art onsite brewing operation, accompanied by a taproom, restaurant and botanical garden, as well as, an ongoing event schedule, art installations and live music stage.
Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar - Fort Lauderdale - Located on Las Olas Blvd. in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Chef/Partner Guillermo Pernot promises a modern take on Havana-inspired dishes. The restaurant will feature dramatic interior and exterior theming, as well as a wood-burning Latin grill & chef’s counter. Opening January 2021.
The Old Sistrunk Distillery - Fort Lauderdale - The Old Sistrunk Distillery is forecast to open in 2021 in Historic Sistrunk, Fort Lauderdale’s oldest African American community. A partnership between rapper, singer and songwriter Flo Rida and businessman and ex-rapper Victor G. Harvey, the distillery will produce the duo’s new Victor George Vodka, along with gin, whiskey, tequila and other specialty liqueurs. The public will have access with a tasting room, cigar bar, a wine lounge, and meeting and event space.

Stuart Brewery & Distillery - Martin County - The upcoming brewery-distillery combination is the marriage of award winning brew master Ford Pearson, making his triumphant return to So Fla, and award-winning distiller Jeff Mackay, all the way from San Diego, CA. Visitors can look forward to creative beers like Mango Milkshake IPA (with notes of vanilla and organic mango); Salted Caramel Russian Imperial (with a hint of coconut); and Raspberry Berliner (made using fermented organic raspberries). On the spirit side, expect bold flavors such as Carolina Reaper Pepper Vodka and Coffee Infused Whiskey. It is expected to be folded into the Treasure Coast Wine and Ale Trail and represent Martin County along with Ocean Republic Brewing Company (also in Stuart).
