Passengers traveling to The Palm Beaches will be delighted by the vibrant presence of tropical parrot illustrations decorating Brightline trains this summer.

Palm Beach County-based professional artist Lisa Kaw’s artwork featuring colorful illustrations of parrots, ocean waves, palm fronds and, of course, sunglasses and sunshine can be seen wrapping the coaches of a Brightline train currently traveling between Miami and Orlando. The work will be displayed through September and is the result of a partnership between the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB) as part of a marketing initiative to drive awareness of Palm Beach County as a tourism destination.

“We partnered with Discover The Palm Beaches and Brightline to not only promote The Palm Beaches’ vibrant collection of hotels and beaches, but to specifically highlight that Palm Beach County is Florida’s Cultural Capital,” said Dave Lawrence, the Cultural Council’s president and CEO. “The Palm Beaches have an incredible array of arts and cultural arts offerings, as well as talented creative professionals like Lisa Kaw. We are thrilled to feature the artist’s colorful artwork that evokes our tropical destination in such an attractive way.”

Dubbed “Palm Beach Posh,” Kaw’s artwork features her take on the Cultural Council’s signature “Shades of Culture” sunglasses. In addition, her designs showcase The Palm Beaches’ signature natural beauty, including palm fronds, waves, coral, sunshine, hibiscus flowers, and four whimsical parrots inspired by and named after four of her fellow Palm Beach County-based professional artist friends: “Pink Parrot” Devin Noel @devinnoeldesigns, “Turquoise Parrot” Mandy Mizell @theflohemian, “Blue Parrot” Corey Morrow @coreylovescolor, and “Yellow Parrot” Sarah LaPierre @thickpaint.

“I wanted to create something that helps people feel everything that The Palm Beaches represent when they see it – the chic shopping, dancing palms, cool ocean breezes, delectable dining, and a vibrant art scene,” Kaw said. “My artwork communicates the wonder of our natural world, and I love living and working in The Palm Beaches. It truly is a tropical paradise.”

“The Palm Beaches are known as ‘Florida’s Most Stylish Vacation Destination,’ and a partnership with Brightline allows us to reach our top regional markets of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando,” explained Milton Segarra, president and CEO of DTPB. “These arts-focused Brightline wraps help us promote summer visitation with easy accessibility to Boca Raton and West Palm Beach via the train.”

"Brightline Trains are the perfect vessel to showcase a brand across two of the top destinations in the U.S.," said Johanna Rojas, senior vice president of partnerships at Brightline. "We are thrilled to support the local arts community and offer our riders a unique and immersive experience as they travel to and from The Palm Beaches."
