Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and Discover The Palm Beaches collaborate with local artist to inspire Brightline passengers to visit Florida’s Cultural Capital®

Passengers traveling on Brightline this summer will be inspired by a vibrantly decorated train, beckoning them to be whisked away to The Palm Beaches, Florida’s Cultural Capital®.

The special summertime train wrap was created by Palm Beach County-based professional artist and graphic designer Meghan Corrigan as part of a collaboration with the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and destination marketing organization Discover The Palm Beaches. The wrap is part of a tourism marketing initiative called “Love The Palm Beaches” to drive awareness of the region as a top place to visit in Florida.

With a background in art direction, painting, and editorial design, Corrigan’s work showcases the region’s diverse cultural offerings, including ballet dancers, sea turtles, and palm fronds, the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, and – of course – its coastal setting.

“We partnered with Discover The Palm Beaches and Brightline to not only promote The Palm Beaches as a premier coastal destination, but also showcase our vibrant cultural offerings,” says Dave Lawrence, the Cultural Council’s president and CEO. “The Palm Beaches is known as Florida’s Cultural Capital®, and we have an incredible lineup of arts experiences and are home to many talented professional artists like Meghan. We're thrilled to feature her work, which reflects our destination so beautifully.”

“Our partnership with Brightline remains a powerful connector to key regional markets – Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando,” said Milton Segarra, president and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches. “This year’s arts-inspired Brightline train wraps offer travelers a colorful preview of what awaits in The Palm Beaches, transforming the journey itself into the first step of their destination experience.”

Corrigan, who moved to Delray Beach five years ago, drew inspiration for the train wrap from the places she loves visiting with her family. She says she hopes the decorated train encourages visitors and residents alike to uncover something new to explore.

“There’s so much more here than pretty beaches; that’s something I discovered when I moved here,” she reflects. “I thought about visiting Morikami and how I feel transported to Japan without needing my passport, exploring Henry Flagler's grand estate in Palm Beach, and smaller moments like the roseate spoonbill bird who sometimes visits our yard (to my delight!). There's so much history here, right down to the iconic Spanish tiles on the Mizner Park fountain in Boca Raton.”

Corrigan’s work will be displayed on a Brightline train traveling between Miami and Orlando now through August.
