Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (May 10, 2021)— Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, a historic and whimsical 35-acre subtropical estate located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, is pleased to announce that it is offering three fantastic promotions for Summer 2021. These include a Family Summer Special from Tuesday, June 1 through Sunday, September 5, a Father’s Day Special on Sunday, June 20, and a Fourth of July Special on Sunday, July 4. The Bonnet House will also feature Orchid Classes on Tuesday August 10 and Tuesday, August 17.
At the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, visitors can experience what life was like on a beachfront estate in the 1930s and 40s. The 35-acre grounds contain the Main House which features a whimsical collection of decorative and fine art, as well as a nature trail that is ideal for families. During the promotional dates, visitors can enjoy a one-way route around the beautiful estate. The tour of the gardens and museum is an entirely self-guided walking experience which includes an audio recording that can be accessed through a visitor’s mobile device. The inspiring artful and educational tour features information about each room, significant items from the collection and the family that created the estate.

Family Summer Special (Tuesday, June 1 – Sunday, September 5)
The Bonnet House Museum & Gardens Family Summer Special includes free admission for visitors who are age 17 and under with the purchase of an adult ticket. Tickets for adults are $20. No other discounts apply. The Family Summer Special is available Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m.– 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. through September 5, and tickets can be purchased at the Welcome Center. Father’s Day Special (Sunday, June 20, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is giving fathers the gift of art and culture free of charge with one paid admission on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dads get in free with one full paid adult admission and will have the opportunity to step back in time and experience life as it was in the 30s and 40s. The entire family will have the opportunity to tour the historic house and museum filled with a delightful collection of art and personal treasures from the Bartlett/Birch families as well as explore the nature trails filled with native plants, trees and an occasional monkey. https://www.bonnethouse.org/event/fathers-day-special/.
Fourth of July Special (Sunday, July 4, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Come and explore all that Bonnet House Museum & Gardens has to offer at a discounted rate this Independence Day. Visitors can explore the whimsical house where fish sculptures rise in the air, shells have their own museum and shady nature trails invite you to search for a playful monkey in the trees. Admission is $10 for adults and is free for children 12 and under on Sunday, July 4th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. No other discounts apply. Bonnet House was built in 1920 as the winter retreat of the Birch/Bartlett family, and is a fanciful blend of art, architecture, history and ecology.
