ABOUT DIGITAL GRAFFITI
Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach is a one-of-a-kind projection art festival where artists from around the world use the latest digital technologies to project their original art works onto the white walls of Alys Beach. Sometimes referred to as “Photon Bombing,” “Guerilla Projection” or “Urban Projection,” underground artists around the globe have been using the latest design, animation, and projection technologies for many years to cast dynamic images onto skyscrapers and other urban structures as a means of artistic expression. Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach is a festival geared towards bringing these artists’ works together in one place to celebrate and showcase their unique talents. The scenic 30A community of Alys Beach, located along the northwest Florida coastline, gives artists a large-scale blank canvas to explore the intersection of art and architecture, while creating entirely new art forms. Once darkness falls, the stark-white walls of Alys Beach glow with dozens of dazzling original art projections.
This year’s festival has been reimagined as an immersive, drive-through experience as we continue to follow the CDC’s guidelines for social safety. Tickets are available to purchase here, and must be pre-purchased as they will not be sold at the door. Each ticket will be issued with a designated time slot, limited to 20 cars per time slot, and blocked in intervals to allow for the safe control of traffic flow. In the interest of safety, pedestrians, golf carts, and other modes of non-vehicular traffic will not be permitted. Tickets for standard vehicles are $80; tickets for vehicles with 8 or more passengers are $150.
