The Florida Craft Spirits Association announced today the release of its Florida Distillery Trail app. The digital app will now allow visitors to check in with just a touch of their fingertips at all participating distilleries. The Florida Distillery Trail consists of all 46 association member distilleries spanning from the panhandle to the southernmost point of the state. Along the trail, visitors will get a chance to experience the rich landscapes, must-see landmarks, and vibrant blends of culture that embody the Sunshine State.
“Since the inception of our association, we’ve strived to increase industry awareness to the public,” said David Cohen, president of the FCSA. “We’ve done so by creating in-person festivals, having an increased presence with the Florida legislature, and bringing the first-ever Florida Distillery Trail to enthusiasts. We’re beyond thrilled to take this next step in creating a more sustainable experience for visitors and residents alike.”
In an effort to connect Florida residents and visitors to the state’s ever-growing market of craft distilleries, the organization launched the Florida Distillery Trail as a way for consumers to engage in a game-like format while exploring the state. With the launch of the digital app, distillers are able to tailor their listings to include deals and events and also share their great product stories which feature fresh Florida agriculture. For guests, it’s a sustainable method to play along and engage from a device they frequently use.
To embark on the trail, explorers will download the ‘Florida Distillery Trail’ app from the Apple app store or Google PLAY. Along the trail, participants will collect stamps in their digital passport at each stop on the route. There are benchmarks along the way which enable visitors to receive a commemorative gift to mark their achievement, including an association t-shirt, a tasting glass, and a gift basket filled with Florida crafted spirits. The trail can be completed distillery-by-distillery or in regions at a time. For more info, visit floridacraftspirits.org. For explorers who previously participated with the paper map and would like to transfer their stamps over to the app to continue play, a photo of the map must be emailed to floridacraftspiritsassociation@gmail.com.
