There’s lots happening across the pond this summer to make your adventure to Florida a whole NEW experience. From goat yoga to rocket launches, there’s plenty of fun to be had.

Try Scalloping on Florida’s Sports Coast

Florida is where you’ll find an abundance of outdoor adventure and the newly branded Florida's Sports Coast is where it’s at. Formerly known as Visit Pasco, Florida’s Sports Coast can’t wait to celebrate its second scallop season after a 20-year hiatus! Grab your snorkel and fins and a local captain will guide you to the perfect diving spot. Scallop season will run July 19 – 28.

Visit the NEW Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge in Santa Rosa County

Open just in time for summer, is the brand new Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge which features a state-of-the-art medical facility for rehabilitating native wildlife, specialised outdoor habitats housing “animal ambassadors” such as bald eagles, tortoises, raptors and manatees, all viewable to visitors who meander a boardwalk nature trail.

A new Passenger Cruiser Connects Pensacola to Gulf Islands National Seashore  Exploring Pensacola has been made easier as Pensacola Bay Cruises launches a 150-seat passenger cruiser which connects bustling downtown Pensacola, beautiful Pensacola Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore, in just a short 45 minute water cruise.  Emerald green waters, inviting sugar-white sand and a long history of diverse culture beckons visitors to Pensacola.

Try Goat Yoga in Orlando

Away from the theme parks, but still located in the heart of Orlando, you’ll find inner peace in a truly unique way through the experience of Original Goat Yoga. Part yoga, part Animal Assisted Therapy, goat yoga is about disconnecting from day to day stress and focusing on happy holistic vibes. This is perfect for families wanting a unique, memorable and magical experience!

Join a Lion King Dance Party at Walt Disney World

Can you believe it’s been 25 years since Simba, Timon, Rafiki and all the other treasured characters from the heart-warming film, The Lion King, first roared into our souls? Until September 20, guests will feel the love during the Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party; a raucous celebration where young adventurers will let their inner animals roam free on the dance floor.

Timon and Rafiki will engage everyone in entertaining dances and games inspired by “The Lion

King,” as wildly talented musicians provide the perfect soundtrack in a World Beat style. It’s a parade not to be missed.

Watch a Rocket Launch from Indian River County

On Florida’s Treasure Coast on the Atlantic Ocean, you can tick a rocket launch off your bucket list and watch a launch from Cape Canaveral. Find your perfect viewing point along Wabasso Beach Park, Fort Pierce Inlet, Sebastian Inlet Park, Ambersands Beach Park, South Beach Park, the Alma Lee Loy Bridge or the Merrill Barber Bridge. Information on scheduled launches can be found here: here.
