Florida’s Sports Coast (FSC), Pasco County’s Destination Management Organization, has achieved a significant milestone in its continued evolution as a leading sports and tourism destination, earning accreditation through the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP), administered by Destinations International, the world’s largest association representing destination organizations.
This internationally recognized accreditation affirms Florida’s Sports Coast’s commitment to organizational excellence, strategic leadership, accountability, and responsible destination management. Following a detailed and rigorous evaluation against nearly 100 industry standards, including governance, finance, management, human resources, technology, visitor services, group services, sales, communications, membership, brand management, among other, FSC now joins an elite group of accredited destination organizations known for demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism and performance. According to Destinations International, there are nearly 200 DMAP‑accredited organizations worldwide, including 23 in Florida, placing FSC among a distinguished class of industry leaders.

“DMAP accreditation is more than an industry distinction, it’s a powerful validation of the standards we uphold and the future we’re building for Pasco County,” said Adam Thomas, Executive Director of Florida’s Sports Coast. “Joining this respected group of accredited organizations reflects not only the dedication and commitment to excellence of the FSC team, but also the high process standards, teamwork, and professionalism demonstrated across the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners, its departments, and the organization as a whole. Together, we have built a culture of accountability and collaboration that ensures our partners, visitors, and event organizers benefit from world-class destination leadership. This achievement strengthens our ability to elevate Florida’s Sports Coast as a premier destination for sports, corporate events, and tourism while showcasing the strength of Pasco County’s governance and operations.”
Achieving DMAP accreditation reinforces FSC’s capacity to attract visitors, support high‑quality events, enhance industry partnerships, and generate sustainable economic benefits throughout Pasco County. The distinction also underscores FSC’s dedication to continuous improvement and its long‑term vision for destination development.
As Pasco County continues to grow, Florida’s Sports Coast DMAP accreditation serves as a promise to lead with integrity, strengthen community and industry collaboration, and create lasting economic impact through tourism for years to come.
