New free app offers interactive maps, real-time updates, mobile ordering and more
Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens today announced the launch of its new official mobile app, now available for free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Designed to enhance every visit, the app provides guests with convenient, real-time tools to explore the Zoo with ease.
Whether visiting for the first time or returning as a longtime member, guests can use the app to navigate the Zoo through an interactive map, stay up to date on daily animal encounters and educational talks, and access the latest information to plan their day. The app also allows users to purchase tickets, order food and beverages, and even become a Zoo member directly from their mobile device.
“Our goal is to create a seamless and engaging experience for every guest who walks through our gates,” said Nikki Smith, Chief Philanthropy and Marketing Officer at Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens. “This new app puts everything you need to explore Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens right at your fingertips, allowing guests to spend less time planning and more time connecting with wildlife and nature.”
The launch of the app comes as Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens continues to evolve its guest experience, including the recent opening of the J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Manatee River habitat and the immersive VyStar SkyScape entrance, part of the Zoo’s broader REZOOVENATION initiative.
Guests are encouraged to download the app ahead of their next visit to make the most of their day at the Zoo.
Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play today.
