Food Donations to be Collected for Sharing Center of Central Brevard

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will host its annual Salute to Brevard through October 27, 2024. During that time, residents of Brevard County can take advantage of special ticket pricing that offers a nearly 75 percent discount.

Throughout the two-week celebration, Brevard County residents can purchase regular admission tickets for up to six people for just $19 for adults and $14 for children ages 3 – 11 (plus tax). * Guests are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable food items, baby formula and food, as well as hygiene products, which will be donated to Sharing Center of Central Brevard. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will also present the Sharing Center of Central Brevard with a $5,000 check.

This special discount, coupled with a collection of items critical for our neighbors in need, is our thank you to the local community.” 

 “Last year’s Salute to Brevard successfully collected a record 9,100 pounds of donated goods,” said David Brubaker, president/CEO of the Sharing Center of Central Brevard. “These donations are essential in helping us to fulfill our mission of helping those in need throughout the year.”

 Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a delectable selection of special menu items featuring the distinctive flavors of fall as Salute to Brevard will coincide with Taste of Space: Fall Bites!. Guests can indulge in out-of-this-world, limited-time offerings at several eateries throughout the visitor complex.

Admission includes a full day or more of fun, inspiration and educational activities such as expanded offerings and attractions like Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex® and two recently opened VR experiences –New Shepard Flight to Space and Hyperdeck Mission Moon. Other highlights include the Apollo/Saturn V Center, Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame® presented by Boeing®, Space Shuttle Atlantis®, Shuttle Launch Experience®, the iconic Rocket Garden, and many other exhibits.

*Proof of Brevard County residency in the form of a driver’s license or utility bill is required to receive the special visitor complex admission rate. Tickets must be purchased at the visitor complex on the date of entry and only the purchaser needs to be a Brevard County resident.
