Can’t-Miss Festivities in Amelia Island, Jacksonville, and Florida’s Historic Coast

In addition to the “Holiday Road Trip Giveaway,” each destination is offering an array of activities from November through the New Year, encouraging visitors to escape the ordinary and experience a festive journey along Florida’s picturesque Northeast Coast.

  • Amelia Island’s holiday happenings include Dickens on Centre Festival (Dec. 12-15), now in its 10th year, with a variety of seasonal celebrations around the island. Enjoy costumed characters, themed entertainment, visits from St. Nick, and a variety of vendors selling seasonal wares. Inspired by Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," Dickens on Centre transforms downtown Fernandina Beach into a classic English village.  
  • Jacksonville’s many whimsical events include Deck the Chairs (Nov. 27-Jan. 1), a free event on Jacksonville Beach; Glowing Gardens (Nov. 29-Dec. 29), a mesmerizing display of lights, sculptures and more at The Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Garden; and Colors of the Wild (Nov.-Feb.), a captivating journey through Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens, a world illuminated by Asian lanterns.
  • The heart of Florida’s Historic Coast, St. Augustine’s festive lineup of events includes Nights of Lights (Nov. 24-Jan. 26), with millions of tiny white lights, creating a breathtaking atmosphere; Lighthouse Illuminations (Nov. 22-Jan. 11), with more than 20 beautifully themed trees; and Villa Zorayda Candlelight Tour (select evenings Dec. 6-Jan. 3), an unforgettable holiday tradition.
