Olde Naples Hotel to open Spring 2026 as Opal Collection’s Newest Gulf Coast Gem

Opal Collection will expand its Florida portfolio in Spring 2026 with the debut of Olde Naples Hotel, a 109-room luxury boutique property that pays tribute to the original Naples Hotel, the city’s first hospitality landmark established in 1889. Located on the corner of Third Street South in the heart of Old Naples, the new-build hotel pairs architectural nostalgia with contemporary coastal sophistication, resulting in one of the most visually striking hotel designs in Naples.  Beyond its aesthetic appeal, however, Olde Naples Hotel thoughtfully revives the spirit of its predecessor as a social hub – designed as a welcoming gathering place where residents and visitors naturally come together – and positioning it as one of the most anticipated openings on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Located five minutes from Naples Beach and steps from the boutiques, galleries, and restaurants of Third Street South, Olde Naples Hotel is designed to reintroduce historic glamour to one of Florida’s most refined seaside communities while delivering the service and culinary standards associated with Opal Collection.  A key component of the property will be the spacious garden and courtyard area, which will serve as a welcoming meeting point where neighbors connect, travelers mingle, and community life unfolds.

“Olde Naples Hotel reflects where Naples began and where it is headed,” said Olde Naples Hotel General Manager Laura Radler. “We are honoring the city’s earliest hospitality story while introducing a design-forward boutique experience that resonates with today’s luxury traveler.”

Though entirely new construction, the property incorporates architectural cues inspired by the original Naples Hotel. Grand columns, transom windows, Dade County Pine, and Pecky Cypress details reference Old Florida craftsmanship. A mirrored ceiling dome crowns the lobby, anchored by a vintage-inspired key box display featuring artifacts from Naples’ early years. Art deco-style elevators with etched brass details transition into patterned rugs and oyster-shell tabby stone framing the courtyard fireplace. Vine-covered walls evoke cottage-era Naples, while the Palm Springs-inspired rooftop pool introduces retro-glam energy above the historic district.

In the dining room of Annie’s Bistro, large-scale impressionistic murals by local artist Janine Wesselmann depict stylized street scenes that root the space in community artistry while elevating the overall aesthetic. Annie’s will serve as the hotel’s culinary centerpiece, comprised of a bistro, bar, and bakery concept designed to appeal equally to hotel guests and local residents. The Bistro will present contemporary American cuisine in a polished yet approachable setting, the Bar will highlight classic and modern cocktails crafted with precision, and the Bakery will offer specialty coffee, pastries, salads, and grab-and-go fare for beach days and morning strolls along Third Street South.

The hotel’s 109 rooms and suites reinterpret the cottage-style homes that once defined Old Naples. Interiors layer archival turn-of-the-century patterns with refined finishes, high-gloss armoires, and mosaic-tiled bathrooms. Accommodations will include standard rooms and courtyard views, with a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, in-room safe, ironing amenities, and signature bath products. In addition, two expansive, 3,000-square-foot, three-bedroom king suites will boast with vaulted ceilings, spacious living area, dining table for six, and a wet bar with refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Three marble bathrooms – one with a tub and two with double vanities – will offer a spa-like escape for the most discerning guest.  The property will be dog-friendly and offer Signature Opal Paws amenities.

Amenities will include a rooftop pool with shaded cabanas, a central courtyard with fireplace, a full-service spa offering holistic treatments, and a fully equipped fitness center. The hotel will accommodate room blocks of 10 or more for milestone celebrations, wedding weekends, family gatherings, and intimate retreats. For larger meetings and events, nearby sister property Edgewater Beach Hotel offers 2,600 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Olde Naples Hotel continues Opal Collection’s expansion in high-demand coastal markets, joining a portfolio that spans destinations from Maine to Florida and includes properties such and includes other exciting new properties, including a bold boutique hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. With Naples’ sustained strength in the luxury leisure market and the enduring appeal of Third Street South, the hotel is positioned to attract both established Gulf Coast travelers and a new generation seeking boutique, design-forward accommodations in a walkable historic setting.
