Opal Collection completes top-to-bottom renovation of luxury resort on Clearwater Beach
Sandpearl Resort, one of Clearwater Beach’s most prestigious gulf front resorts, recently renovated all guest rooms and suites, including a complete top-to-bottom refresh. Part of the award-winning Opal Collection, Sandpearl Resort’s “Seaside Chic” renovation was completed just in time for spring and summer travelers eager to stay on one of America’s Best Beaches.
As part of the renovation, guest rooms and living spaces received new flooring, carpets and rugs, paint, couches (all pull-outs for extra sleeping space), furnishings, and other decorative appointments. Suites with kitchens received new cabinetry, upgraded appliances, and brand-new dishware serving up to six. Guest bathrooms also received a major makeover and now feature walk-in showers and soaking tubs. All one- and two-bedroom suites, plus all junior suites, boast these inviting deep tubs for an ultra-luxurious experience.
A distinct departure from the previous “Old-World Caribbean” room design, the breezy new Seaside Chic vibe is heavily influenced by a neutral tone color scheme. Light creams, sandy beiges, and crisp whites are layered with pops of sea-inspired blue shades found in throw pillows and blankets, area rugs, bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, and more. Blonde wooden floors run throughout the property, and luxurious white marble slabs top kitchen countertops, dining room tables, and shelving in suites. Coffee tables, TV consoles, bureaus, and bedside tables now have a mid-century feel, with clean lines and gentle curves, complemented by decorative elements such as driftwood and coral sculptures. In the suites, the dining room now serves as a central gathering spot, where families can comfortably relax around the table or in a newly added couch-like seating area adorned with an eye-catching chandelier resembling white, undulating seaweed or Capiz shells.
Overshadowed by the renovation’s stunning new design are several less obvious but key modern-day conveniences and comforts that were added. Rooms now have nightlight features under bathroom counters and mirrors, new venting systems guests can control, and several USB outlets ensuring every device has a power source.
