SEASIDE ADVENTURES WINS TRIPADVISOR TRAVELERS’ CHOICE AWARD
With locations in St. Augustine + Jacksonville, Seaside Adventures offers Slingshot + MOKE rentals
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – For tourism and hospitality-based businesses,
winning awards from well-known, user-generated online sites like Tripadvisor can help
catapult brand awareness and sales. For husband-and-wife team, Tommy and Crystal Horton,
they’re hoping that the recent Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for the Jacksonville
location of their Seaside Adventures business will do just that. With locations in St. Augustine
and Jacksonville, Seaside Adventures rents Slingshot and MOKE vehicles – offering a unique
way to explore Northeast Florida.
“Prior to starting our business, we had demanding and opposite schedules where we felt like
we rarely saw each other,” Crystal explained of starting Seaside Adventures in 2020. “I also
started missing out on major moments in my kids’ lives. We have five children, so I knew it
was time to create a new career to be able to spend more time with them. Tommy and I have
always had a passion for people and adventure, so this has been a perfect fit for us. We love
what we do, and even more that we can be together as a family as we grow the business.”
Seaside Adventures rents out two- and four-seater Slingshots, a three-wheeled, open-air
autocycle perfect for taking in the sites, as well as MOKE vehicles, an all-electric recreational
convertible popularized in the ‘60s and ‘70s in Britain and the Caribbean. With a top speed of
25 mph, this family-friendly adventure vehicle is ideals for cruising the cobblestone streets of
St. Augustine’s historic district.
“We have some tours that are in the works for those who prefer to be guided instead of
venturing out on their own. We also just launched wedding services with our white and mint
color MOKES and brides are already falling in love with this classy addition,” Crystal said.
“MOKE are perfect for bridal party photos and the couple’s grand exit. As far as the future
goes, we will continue to bring more unique vehicle options to North Florida for everyone to
experience.”
