he two-day concert event featured 14 acts at Francis Field in St. Augustine, FL on September 20 & 21
Sing Out Loud Festival’s Live Wildly Showcase brought more than 25,000 people from across the U.S. and abroad to downtown St. Augustine on September 20 and 21, transforming Francis Field into an immersive two-day celebration of live music and conservation. With 14 performances headlined by Hozier, Beabadoobee, Vance Joy, and The Teskey Brothers, the festival paired world-class live music with the mission of protecting Florida’s natural landscapes and wildlife, raising over $130,000 for land conservation efforts in St. Johns County.
Music fans of all ages traveled from 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam and 12 countries to experience the festival, which spanned the length of Francis Field. Strong demand for the full weekend experience was clear, with three times more two-day passes sold than single-day tickets – a testament to the success of curating aligned programming across both days. Over the course of the weekend, attendees took in the powerhouse lineup that featured international platinum-selling artist Hozier who had the crowd singing along to “Take Me to Church” and “Too Sweet”, U.K.-based indie phenom Beabadoobee; chart-topping folk-pop star Vance Joy, who surprised fans with a late-night pop-up set at local venue Spinster Abbott’s; and viral breakout artist Sombr, who ran among fans during his set which included hit songs “Back to Friends” and “Undressed.” Rising Florida native Gigi Perez dazzled with crowd favorites “Sailor Song” and “Celene” before treating attendees to an intimate late-night performance onsite following Hozier’s set. Additional sets by beloved acts The Teskey Brothers, Father John Misty, Rilo Kiley, Maren Morris, Sarah Kinsley, David Kushner, Brenn! and local openers Taylor Olin & The Something Specials and Sun Child added to the diverse lineup and festival excitement.
Beyond the stage, Francis Field became more than a concert venue – it was an experience where attendees learned about Florida’s wild lands, waters and wildlife. Music enthusiasts cooled off in the Live Wildly tent, designed to mirror the tranquility of Florida’s springs; snapped selfies in front of the iconic 15-foot inflatable Florida panther and its cub; tested their knowledge of state parks and wildlife through interactive trivia; and engaged directly with local conservation groups dedicated to preserving Florida’s natural habitats.
Sing Out Loud Festival’s Live Wildly Showcase also carried a lasting impact beyond the festival grounds. Through ticket sales, over $130,000 will be donated to land conservation efforts in St. Johns County, ensuring that the celebration of music translates into the preservation of the landscapes that inspire it.
“This festival isn’t just about music – it’s about community, connection, and protecting what makes Florida so unique,” said Gabe Pellicer, CEO & President of SJC Cultural Events, Inc., the 501c3 organization that produces Sing Out Loud Festival. “Bringing thousands of people together for live music and conservation delivers real impact and we’re incredibly proud of what this festival has achieved.”
“It’s truly inspiring to witness such a strong show of support for wild Florida, especially right here in St. Johns County, where these efforts will directly benefit local conservation,” said Lisa Shipley, CEO of the Live Wildly Foundation. “We’re honored to collaborate on a festival that brings people together through music while also deepening our collective dedication to protecting wild Florida for future generations.”
