SING OUT LOUD RETURNS SEPTEMBER 2022 WITH NEW ELEMENTS FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING LOCAL ST. JOHNS COUNTY TALENT
Presented by St. Johns County Tourist Development Council and St. Augustine Distillery

St. Augustine, FL (August 4, 2022) – Over the years, Sing Out Loud has evolved into much more than a music festival. In
addition to filling our historic streets with live music this September, Sing Out Loud 2022 will introduce new elements
focused on elevating the local music community and developing St. Johns County talent.

As September is familiarly noted as “The Month of Music”, one of these new elements includes a partnership with The
St. Augustine Songwriters Festival, which will provide exceptional programming and workshops from chart-topping
songwriters between Friday, September 23 – Sunday, September 25.

Additional new elements include the first-ever Sing Out Loud Music Industry Mentorship, an opportunity for local artists
to receive direction from industry professionals to further their careers, and Band Practice, which provides local artists
the chance to perfect their sound via the guidance of audio engineers at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

As with previous years, Sing Out Loud will feature numerous local showcases and free events throughout the month.
Joining the lineup of FREE performances includes alternative indie-rock singer-songwriter Snail Mail; alt country-rock
guitarist Aaron Lee Tasjan; beloved Americana-blues duo Shovels & Rope; and beguiling indie-pop group Lucius. Also,
free this year is the Ancient City Poets Showcase, as well as the community-favorite St. Augustine Record Fair,
presented by ToneVender Records on Sunday, Sep 25 at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

Below you will find additional information on these elements, with full details also available at Sing Out Loud Florida.
THE ST. AUGUSTINE SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL (Friday, September 23 – Sunday, September 25)

historic downtown St. Augustine. In addition to performing their chart-topping hits, songwriters will share testimonies,
and offer a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into their writing processes.

CMA Musician of the Year award winner (Once in a Lifetime), Grammy Award-winner Casey Beathard, who has written
songs for Kenny Chesney, George Strait & Dolly Parton (“There Was Us”), Chris Tompkins (Carrie Underwood’s “Before
He Cheats”, Luke Bryan’s “Drunk on You”), Chris DeStefano (Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl”, Dan + Shay’s “From the
Ground Up), Mark Irwin (Alan Jackson’s “Here in the Real World”, Blake Shelton’s “Neon Light”, and many more.
