Extends 2022 Meeting Incentive Offer Into 2023
TAMPA, FLORIDA, NOVEMBER 30, 2022: The Tampa Airport Marriott has just completed a multi-million dollar meeting and event space renovation, it was announced today by Scott McClinton, General Manager.
The 298-room property, located inside Tampa International Airport (TPA), originally opened in 1973 and will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023. It was named a “Best Airport Hotel” for 2022 by Smart Meetings Magazine in their annual “Smart Stars.”
What really sets the property apart from others in the area are the visuals it offers being at the airport. Meeting participants can see the terminals — including planes taking off and landing just outside the floor-to-ceiling windows around the pre-function space — which lends an exciting vibe of movement and flight.
Tampa Airport Marriott offers 25,416 square feet of meeting and event space including 17 meeting rooms, the largest of which is the 7,446-square-foot Hillsborough Grand Ballroom which can accommodate up to 700 people for a reception.
According to Mr. McClinton, the renovation encompassed a completely new look with a design concept created by CRA Design of Los Angeles. The goal was to create a social club connection combining vocation with friends, conversation, collaboration, and common connection. The color palette features predominantly grays, blues, and browns and incorporates curved forms, open colonnades, and natural woven materials.
Specific enhancements include new carpet, vinyl, and paint; new meeting room tables and chairs as well as pre-function furniture. State-of-the-art features incorporate LED lighting throughout as well as RFID (keycard) door locks for enhanced security.
The hotel is also extending its 2022 Meetings Incentive Offer for all groups of 10+ room nights for a function to be held at Tampa Airport Marriott from April 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023.
