The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber has joined forces with St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and Madeira Beach to launch the "Protect the Beaches" campaign. With the bustling tourist season upon us, this collaborative effort aims to educate and inspire both locals and visitors to uphold a few fundamental guidelines for beach etiquette.

The Protect the Beaches campaign encourages enjoying the beach while also promoting a few basic guidelines to ensure the enjoyment and preservation of our pristine shorelines. These include advising beachgoers to come with friends but leave any pets behind, to stay hydrated but restrict alcohol consumption to designated areas, to bring the fun but refrain from leaving toys, sandcastles, or holes behind, to keep toes in the sand but away from vital sand dunes, and to abstain from smoking or vaping on the beaches that prohibit it.

These cities have collaborated with the Chamber to produce handouts, posters, and social media campaigns to further amplify the campaign's message and reach. These organizations believe that together we can make waves of positive change by embracing these beach-friendly guidelines for a sun-soaked adventure that respects both fun and nature.
