The Tampa Museum of Art was fortunate to be spared some of the worst effects of Hurricane Helene’s landfall in Florida. Unfortunately, many coastal communities in the Tampa Bay area and across the state were not as lucky. Our hearts go out to all the individuals and communities who have been deeply affected by this storm, both here and beyond.
We are pleased to announce that the museum will reopen on Saturday, September 28, at 10 am. For those in the Tampa Bay area still experiencing difficulties, such as power outages, we invite you to find a moment of peace in our exhibition galleries. You are welcome to use our free Wi-Fi and recharge your cell phones in the Vinik Family Education Center.
We are deeply grateful to the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County teams and first responders, who worked tirelessly to keep our community safe during the storm. As always, we encourage everyone to prioritize their safety and continue following official communications from local authorities regarding hurricane recovery efforts and the restoration of services.
