Each year, AAA reviews hotels in several categories, including cleanliness and condition, management and style of operation, exterior and public areas, guest rooms and guest bathrooms. The highly sought-after Four Diamond status is awarded to fewer than 6% of the thousands of hotels inspected and approved by AAA on an annual basis.
