New “Opal Sol” will add to Opal Collection’s premier portfolio on Florida’s West Coast
On Friday, October 27, Moss Construction and Opal Sol held a Topping Out ceremony on site to celebrate the building reaching its final height with the completion of the outer structure.
This centuries-old tradition, which hoists a tree atop a new structure to engender good luck, today recognizes and celebrates the hard work and dedication of the skilled laborers and the entire team.
A new phase in the resort’s construction now begins, with the framing of 248 suites and the luxury resort amenities to complement them which will include three pools (two with waterfront views), full-service Opal Spa, and four unique restaurant concepts including the resort’s marquee Drift restaurant.
With its unique curved design that mirrors its sister Opal Collection property, Opal Sands, every one of Opal Sol’s 248 suites (which will range from studio to three-bedrooms) will boast unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico. Both resorts will be connected via an elevated skyway bridge which will provide for a unique opportunity for Opal Sol guests to enjoy shared privileges and additional dining and luxury amenities.
For meetings and events, Opal Sol will offer 57,194 square feet of event space that when combined with Opal Sands, will offer over 106,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor and ancillary space that can accommodate groups of up to 700 attendees. Guests can expect to experience this premier resort on Clearwater Beach in early 2025. Meeting and event inquiries are now being accepted.
