BRUCE BEACH (PHASE 1 OPENED 2022, PHASE 2 COMPLETED NOVEMBER 8, 2024 – DOWNTOWN PENSACOLA)
The Bruce Beach project reclaims and revitalizes a historic African American swimming and recreation site near downtown Pensacola.

Phase 1 focused on shoreline access, walking trails, and restoring native vegetation.

Phase 2, completed in November 2024, introduced a pedestrian bridge connecting to Community Maritime Park, a learning garden, a shaded plaza, and interpretive signage that highlights the cultural significance of the area.
Together, both phases have transformed Bruce Beach into a welcoming public greenspace with educational, recreational, and environmental features.
Perdido Key Multi-use Path (completed 2024 – Perdido Key)
This newly completed multi-use trail enhances bike and pedestrian access across Perdido Key. It connects key recreational areas, beach access points, and neighborhoods, encouraging eco-friendly exploration and improving safety for non-vehicular travelers.
Portside Pickle (July 2025)
A new pickleball entertainment complex is in development, combining America’s fastest-growing sport with food, drinks, and social spaces. Designed as a casual, family-friendly environment, Portside Pickle will serve as both a recreational facility and a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.
