A.L. Lewis Museum at American Beach, Fla. - Fernandina Beach - Early 2022: The A.L. Lewis Museum at American Beach, Fla. (1600 Julia St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034) will be reopening in early 2022 after a temporary closure, once again sharing the heritage and legacy of Florida's historic African American beach. Visitors will get a glimpse of American Beach during the Jim Crow era and step inside the lives of African Americans who lived and played here, and learn more about founder A. L. Lewis, his great-granddaughter “The Beach Lady” and efforts to preserve the beach.
Jacksonville Naval Museum - Jacksonville - 2022: The forthcoming Jacksonville Naval Museum will honor veterans and Jacksonville’s naval heritage while providing educational opportunities. The grand opening date will be in 2022.
The St. Johns River Park and Friendship Fountain - Jacksonville - Early 2022: The redesigned park and fountain will include a botanical garden, play park, splash pad and overall upgrades. It is projected to open in early 2022.
Jacksonville Beach Pier Re-Opening - Jacksonville - Spring 2022: The Pier sustained damage during Hurricane Matthew. Construction and repairs are expected to be complete in late spring 2022.

The Museum presents Animationland, a hands-on interactive exhibit that teaches the science behind the art of animation with immersive settings like a stop-motion studio (May-December 2022). Maltz Jupiter Theatre - Jupiter - January 11, 2022: Scheduled to reopen in early January following a $36 million expansion, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s 2021/22 season will open offsite with a truly spectacular treat for local theatregoers: a three-week open-air run of the smash hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in January (January 11 – 30), as well as the fun-filled comedy I Hate Hamlet at The Benjamin School’s 800-seat theater in Palm Beach Gardens (February 8 – 20). The season will then move onto the Theatre’s brand new Broadway-scale stage for the high energy, dance-filled musical Sweet Charity (February 19 – March 9) and the Tony®-nominated Broadway sensation Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (March 22 – April 10).
Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) - Miami - Through May 1, 2022: Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) presents three one-person exhibitions for the Fall 2021 season. Exhibitions by the Icelandic artist Hreinn Fridfinnsson, Cuban American Jorge Pardo, and Miami-based Venezuelan American Loriel Beltrán offer viewers comprehensive looks at the practices of three of the most compelling artists—both local and international—working today. The exhibitions will be on view from Nov. 6, 2021, through May 1, 2022.
Sherlock Holmes: The Exhibition at Frost Museum of Science - Miami - May 16, 2022: Footprints, splatter patterns and the powers of observation mark the journey through Sherlock Holmes: The Exhibition opening Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami. The interactive experience combines science with history and culture to bring to life the historic underpinnings of author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s rich and vibrant stories. The exhibition will be on view through Monday, September 5, 2022.
Sailfish Sands Golf Course Expansion - Stuart - Early 2022: Sailfish Sands Golf Course officially opened in early October, and is slated to add 20 hitting bays with interactive screens, and a brand-new clubhouse in early 2022. Sailfish Sands replaced the former Martin County Golf Course with a championship 18-hole course and Florida's first reversible nine-hole course. The design is meant to grow the game, and Toptracer Range was even added to the driving range to track player shots.
Sunset Lounge Re-opening After Renovation - West Palm Beach - Fall 2022: This legendary West Palm Beach nightclub and jazz landmark, dating back to 1925, is ready for its second act with a multimillion-dollar revival. The renovation of this iconic 12,308-square-foot venue that once hosted notable artists, including Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, is the cornerstone of the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency’s work to restore the Historic Northwest District. The space will pay tribute to the musical roots and notable beginnings of the site as the premier African American entertainment venue in the south during the Jim Crow law period that enforced racial segregation.
